Christantus Uche Ignites Comfortable Palace Win at Irish Side Shelbourne.
Despite entering their maiden continental campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting at a rapid pace. Missing key players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable result that all but secures them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further three points in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure direct passage to the last 16, especially following a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Opportunity
This match provided a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used talent to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical goal. The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.
